Sweet News! Bettavend sponsors Charity Golf Challenge to help disabled people have holidays

Once again our chocolate treats and thirst-quenchers have helped fuel Green Island Holiday Trust’s Golf Challenge held at Bramshaw Golf Club on Monday, 11 September.

An annual event, the challenge helps the Charity provide holidays for disabled people in Hampshire and Dorset at Holton Lee, a 350-acre rural wellbeing discovery centre situated between Poole and Wareham, overlooking the shores of Poole Harbour.

It was an energetic afternoon with a shotgun start to the 18-holes of golf, with Bettavend’s boosters helping to keep everyone on par, as Di Scupholme, Charity Trustee and Chairman of Fundraising comments:

“Thank you so much for supporting us once again for our main fundraiser of the year. Thank you especially for providing the chocolate bars and drinks on the course. They are always very much appreciated and enjoyed by both the golfers and the helpers! As a result of the generosity of you and other Clubs and sponsors we raised around £14,500. This wonderful amount means that 15 more disabled people can benefit from one of our holidays.”
