If you’re an eco-aware, South-coast business, you’ll be delighted to hear that Bettavend, Portsmouth City Council and local businesses are launching the Solent Cup Recycling Project (SCRP) on 1 December 2018.

Building on our cUpcycling debut, this initiative encourages businesses to supply dedicated bins that deflect used paper and plastic cups from landfill and/or incineration.

The bins will be collected by SCRP and the contents processed and recycled into useful items—from office supplies and café and barware, to outdoor seating, sand boxes, planters and promotional items.

The Solent Cup Recycling Project reflects the growing interest in green business practices, instigated locally by the Gosport Cup Recycling Project, launched earlier this year—a highly successful joint initiative between Gosport Borough Council, Huhtamaki UK and Simply Cups that collects and recycles paper cups from businesses and public places in Gosport town.
