Hands up who cUPcycles their disposable cups? Bettavend does!
Bettavend has joined hands with Simply Cups in a war on unrecycled plastic waste – by recycling our paper and plastic cups. It’s called cUPcycling!
We are delighted to team up with this pioneering company – the UK’s ONLY collection and recycling service dedicated to turning paper and plastic cups into second-life materials.
“Simply Cups provides manufacturers and organisations operating in the supply chain as well as beverage and hospitality outlets, with a cost-efficient collection and recycling service that reduces their operating costs and improves their environmental credentials.”
What’s up with disposable cups?
We all need to join in the drive for a healthier planet, and recycling previously unrecycled cups is a big step in the right direction. Here are some sobering statistics…
Cost-effective
The Simply Cups service is highly cost-effective – with the bonus that, as the scheme flourishes and more material is reprocessed, there will be opportunities for further savings.
How Simply Cups works
Instead of your waste heading off to landfill and/or assorted waste facilities, Simply Cups collects your disposable paper, polypropylene, polystyrene and polyethylene teraphalate cups. The waste is then processed and used to manufacture ranges of handy items. It’s called recycling the unrecyclable – cUPcycling!
This service is tailored to suit your location and volume of materials produced, from bags and containers to bulky, baled loads.
cUPcycling – creating useful goods from harmful waste
From all the reclaimed materials, Simply Cups creates ranges of second-life products, for example…
Bettavend’s Operations Manager, Ben West, comments:
“We are delighted to use Simply Cups to collect and recycle the paper and plastic cups used by our staff, as this endorses our ongoing commitment to environmental issues such as Fairtrade, UTZ , Rain Forest Alliance and The Point Foundation, a voluntary, non-profit organisation run from the UK and committed to specific projects in African and Rwanda.
“The cup bins (made from recycled cups by Simply Cups) in our warehouse and showroom illustrate the recycling service to our customers, and, hopefully, this will also encourage them to sign up to Simply Cups.”
If you have a green conscience, why not sign up to Simply Cups? Join us and add your company to the growing number of businesses cUPcycling their paper and plastic cups.
